Excellent food and service, the best Korean BBQ and hot pot combo restaurant ever. Love the concept of getting your own meat to grill and the meat for hot pot. I like this concept over ordering from the menu as it cuts time and allows you to manage how much you can eat without being wasteful. Another plus is that they have a make yourself spring roll station.

Really enjoyed our lunch here. Nice twist with Korean BBQ paired with hot pot. Good variety of ingredients, the Tonkatsu was very flavorful. Everything looked clean and well stocked. Waitress was lovely. Excited to have another AYCE hot pot place to visit in Austin!

I’ve always loved the coziness of this restaurant. The renovation and reboot to AYCE hot pot and kbbq is fantastic. The food is so nicely laid out in the shelves. The prawns were my favorite for hot pot. The spicy pork was my favorite for kbbq. I love that they have a selection of pre-cooked food as well to snack on when you’re waiting for your broth to arrive or the grill to heat up. Or, if you need a break from cooking, you can nibble on some fried chicken. I would’ve taken more food photos, but I was hungry and happy eating.

my bf wanted hot pot and i wanted bbq so we decided to go in for lunch! their appetizer selection had so much variety-- unlimited fried chicken and tteokpokki? i would go in just for that their seafood and veggie selections were really fresh and their meat was pretty tender! since they were a kbbq restaurant previously, the marinated bbq definitely stood out (recommend pork jowl) tips: - you can ask for free white rice! - bbq grill settings: cook at level 8, keep warm at level 6. - go-to sauce: 1 peanut sauce, 1 garlic, 1 cilantro, 1 green onion, 2 chili sauce, sesame oil - make ur own affogato: vanilla ice cream shot of espresso - use tablet to call the server— they’re quite busy! i was surprised they also had spring rolls, but i love that these healthy options were available so that i can bring in my vegan friends as well! some of the og side dishes like cucumber kimchi were also in that area they don’t have galbi (marinated short ribs) though but they have PLENTY of other choices that makes up for it!! def worth trying!

Visited Dam-a the first day they opened for business. Formerly Chosun Galbi, very nicely renovated to a AYCE Kbbq, hot pot and spring rolls. It was full house at around 7pm but the wait time was minimal without a reservation. Their customer service was exceptional! The quality of their operations, food and overall experience was great despite it being their first day. The price was great for offering AYCE for kbbq, hot pot, and spring rolls. I highly recommend visiting!

Having both Korean hot pot and BBQ at the same time is great. Lots of meat and vegetables that you can BBQ or turn into soup. I also love the ice cream and coffee bar for dessert to make affogatos.

We enjoyed our experience, it’s nice you can just go get the meats without ordering Other locations you will have to wait and order They also have a lot of selection Definitely recommended will come back

I usually go to Chosun to go eat their galbi jjim and heard about the owners new concept from friends and IG. What I really like about DAM-A is that it’s very approachable for non Koreans and people who don’t know much about Asian food. They have instructions on a tablet at each table describing how to enjoy hot pot, kbbq, and spring rolls! Their staff (Shout out to Jennifer) are extremely kind and informative if you have any additional questions. And it’s very affordable (36 Dinner)for hot pot and kbbq. It’s the same price if you want to eat just kbbq or vice versa so you might as well just try both. They were doing a birthday promo in February so I actually got to eat for FREE! (Follow their IG for monthly promo) The stand outs were the spring roll bar and the sauces. They have the ultimate sauce guide that leads you to success. All in all DAM-A is solid! Fresh veggies and seafood with a simple selection of meats. I genuinely am so sad about Chosun closing because their galbi jjim was the best in town. I don’t think the city of Austin could have truly appreciated Chosun for what it really was - authentic homey Korean food that reminded you of your omma. So if you’re the owner and you’re reading this just know I miss you and your galbi jjim
